Lepota - Lemon hairspray
This will help keep your hair in place without the stiffening effect and artificial scent of many commercial hairsprays. The vodka is optional, but it gives the spray longer shelf-life.
1 lemon
1 1/4 cups/275 ml water
2 tbsp/30 ml vodka (optional)
Chop the whole lemon into pieces and place it in a saucepan with the water. Bring to boil, then cover and simmer gently for 20 minutes or until lemon is tender.
Strain, pressing down to extract as much liquid as possible. Leave to cool completely.
Transfer to a sterilized spray bottle and add the vodka. Keep in a cool place and use within one month.
